Title: Indian Fragrent Ginger Rice
Categories: Indian Rice Blank
Yield: 5 Servings

1cRice
2tbVeg Oil
1smOnion; halved and sliced lengthwise into strips
1 Or more hot peppers, fresh or pickled, rinced
1/2 Inch ginger, chopped or
1/2tsPowdered ginger
2cWater
1/2tsSalt
  Garnish:
  Chopped fresh cilantro or
  Parsley

In a heavy frying pan, heat oil, add ginger, then rice, and cook until the rice starts to become transparent. Add onion and red pepper, stir and continue cooking to onion softens.

Add water and salt, cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 min. or so. Remove lid and reduce heat to very low and let rice finish, about 15 min or more.

Garnish with fresh parsley [or preferably] cilantro.

This recipe is kinda based on Indian ones but with fewer spices and ingredients that are easily available everywhere.
